I Came, I Conquered! #SAUVAGE EDP

Hey Guys,

Today I'm gonna start my review slightly different; I know I don't tend to do it really often, but I'm gonna get personal and open this review by telling you a story from my personal life that hopefully will make you understand why I believe that "Sauvage" by Dior, is probably the best perfume I used in a real long time! Lets go!

So lately I returned to the dating scene... I don't know how to describe this feeling, but there's something really daunting and unsure when you take your first steps in this world again after such a long time. All those first date common worries you thought only exits in movies, crawl their way into your mind: Is he gonna like me? Am I gonna bring the best side of myself? Should I tell him what I do, or is it too intimidating? Should I go casual or elegant? So right before you meet, you take a quick shower, you dress up real nice, and than, you get to the moment of truth: You stare at your perfume collection and wonder: which one is Mr. right? the one that portrays an undeniable sexiness, while still keeping it classy and confident! than like a light striking my brain it hit me! Dior's Sauvage Eau de parfum! I sprayed myself a couple of times, (the usual ritual) and I went out. Now, I can't really describe this feeling when using Sauvage edp by Dior, but there's something really uplifting and elevating which gives you a good boost of confidence; that makes all of your prior worries disappear. you probably ask why Sauvage edp?

well, I really believe that's the kind of perfume the modern man should be using. It's very long lasting and rich (up to 12 hours), It portrays the allure of elegance, it has charisma and it's undeniably sexy. agree with me that that's the exact way you want to present yourself to someone new (a date), or to the world in general. cutting to the chase, I can tell you every single one of my dates really liked my perfume, complimented, and asked me about it. It's that good! It brings interest. Perfume wise, mission accomplished! even though I'm still on a mission find Mr. right ;)

I think there'e something in this scent that makes you trust it. you know it's gonna be good and deliver, and that's why I believe this is the best perfume I had in real long time.

In 2015 the house of Dior presented to the world Sauvage; a perfume inspired from the freedom nature of the outdoor man and his rugged masculinity. what was making this perfume an instant best seller internationally, was the versatility this perfume has; you can use it for work, gym, nights out, and it will always feel perfect and suitable for the occasion.

This year Dior launches Sauvage eau de parfum: a perfume that was inspired from the magical hour of twilight rising in the horizon of the wild spaces of the desert. I think the inspiration and presenter Johnny Depp who's Hollywood ultimate bad boy, chosen to lead this campaign once again, represent this perfume to perfection. there's something really mysterious yet deeply captivating in this scent, just like twilight time. Francois Demachy, Dior's perfumer-creator for the past years, who's also created the original version of 2015, describes the new version of the perfume as: "intensely smooth and mysteriously powerful in its perfectly calibrated freshness".

I find this description very accurate; the freshness that rises from the rich notes of the perfume is very well balanced and really surprising!

you really expect by hearing the notes of this perfume that it will be over-powering and sweet, but it's not at all thanks to the use of Ambroxan! J'adore!

The composition used in the edp version keeps some of the original notes of the edt version like: Bergamot, Lavender, Pepper and Ambroxan. To create an edp version that will be richer and more sophisticated, Demachy enriches the mixture with warm and oriental spices like Papua vanilla and nutmeg that will bring an extra dimension of depth. As far as I can see it, Sauvage edp is a gentle and more sophisticated take on his older brother Sauvage edt; so if you liked the edt version, you should definitely try the edp version which is even more long lasting and sexy than the original.

Top Notes: Bergamot

Middle Notes: Lavender, Nutmeg, Star Anise, Sichuan-Pepper.

Base Notes: Ambroxan, Papua Vanilla.

It feels like you get more of everything in the new version: More warmth, more kick, and more sophistication.

Funny thing I liked the edt version so much, I thought perfecting something that is already perfect is quite impossible; but I guess Demachy just proved me wrong!

SAUVAGE eau de parfum is available worldwide and in Israel (Dior boutique TLV Fashion Mall and in local stores).

It comes both in 60ml version (340 Nis), and 100ml version (480 Nis).
